A classroom was my home for 13 years; I would not trade that experience for anything else. I learned about the importance of access to the curriculum and looking at the trends in data patterns to design learning solutions.

During the virtual learning year, I had a newfound love for tech and began to learn front-end coding languages, becoming proficient in front-end software development. I missed engaging with people and coming up with solutions, which is how I learned about Design. I saw the similarities in the human-centered design process of products and how I thought of my teaching practice.

Sometimes, I feel my life has been reflected in the Design Squiggle and my career pathway, but that has also come with countless experiences that have shaped the Designer I am today.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, a Master of Education in General Education with a teaching emphasis, and a Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

My love for learning and my desire to enable others' success led to an unconventional path into Design that I would not trade. My students, and eventually business stakeholders, benefitted from my understanding of the multiple organizational layers involved in creating solutions.

In my spare time, I enjoy being in nature and taking photos of the world around me. I believe that nature offers cues about Design that we can take in.

The different perspectives that can be taken within a shoot setting begin to show the multiple layers and perspectives that we need to think about when designing solutions.
