About Bestt Corporate Housing

corporate housing that offers flexible living options

caters to workers that can move locations based on business needs

I had the chance to work with Mr. Sarabi through a mutual connection. Mr. Sarabi was just in the early stages of building out a business.

Mr. Sarabi was unsure about the process for designing a website and after talking we discussed hosting a website through a provider was the best option, but I would design everything out for him.

Corporate housing was something new to me. The concept was something that I was not aware of before working with Mr. Sarabi.

I did what I did best though and conduct audits of other businesses. The document to the left gives insights into the information that I found that helped developing out the rest of the project.

Starting the Designs

The audit that I did gave great insights into common themes among the websites for designs that worked well. I used inspiration from all the websites to develop the wireframes below.

My client was happy with the wireframes and was happy that I thought about further pages that he may need as his business grows.

Working off of the designed structure made it easy to figure out the flow of pages along with future iterations that he may have planned for his business.

After getting confirmation of wireframes and scaling down the plans of what needed to be completed, I developed the low-fidelity wireframes below.

I decided to also test out those wireframes with the plan that is documented to the left. Because my client had a certain type of user, I found participants that would closely resemble his target user base.

The low-fidelity prototypes can be found by clicking on any of the frames below.

Iterating the Designs

I thank my planning ability as a teacher. There were not many changes that needed to be made to the designs due to my previous planning and research from the audit that I conducted.

Mr. Sarabi also did a great job of giving me great resources to get design inspiration from and bringing his website to life for him. With User feedback changes were made that made navigation easier from page to page.

Changing His Experience

This project was built and completed for my client. In that process, Mr. Sarabi found that he enjoyed building out the website himself with easy-to-use website builders. I provided him with information on different services he can host on his website.

I provided Mr. Sarabi with all the research documentation and Zoom calls as we built out his new website at https://www.besttcorporatehousing.com/.

I am even happier to say that he has successfully secured rental agreements after working together!

Key Learnings

During this experience, I realized the importance of using digital tools to communicate with stakeholders. My client and I had conflicting schedules and found it hard to have check-ins with the work that I was completing. I provided him with video recordings explaining the design decisions of his website as I completed the steps of the design process.

I will always enjoy teaching and it made it even better to know that the process in which I explained building out Mr. Sarabi’s website made him take an interest. He found it to be easier than he thought and even took over full control himself after handoff.
