Colophon

This site is built with Astro v6, deployed on GitHub Pages. Written by hand, no templates.

Type

Set in Lora throughout, for body copy and headings alike. Code, tags, and metric labels use the system monospace stack. The full scale lives on the design system page, rendered as itself rather than redrawn as static images.

Photography

Shot on a Sony A6000 with a variety of lenses. I lean toward lower apertures outside of portraits. The kind of focus a plant needs is nothing like the kind a person needs. Edited in Lightroom, with occasional trips to Photoshop.

What I learned making this

Moving off Squarespace, I underestimated how much flexibility I'd get back. Hand-building the work page's geometric SVG patterns instead of reaching for stock thumbnails was the moment it really clicked: there's no platform ceiling here, just whatever I'm willing to build. Astro's content collections kept that flexibility from turning into chaos: one typed schema that every case study has to follow.
