Designing

Like a lot of companies right now, work has meant figuring out how to put AI to good use inside the enterprise, including how it can interact with mock data for features we're still exploring. Outside of work, that same curiosity is pointed at myself: poking at AI and new tools, and taking it far enough to host this portfolio myself instead of leaving it on Squarespace.

Baking

Not much baking lately, if I'm honest. The hobby of the moment is keeping my plants alive and picking up new tech skills along the way.

Photographing

Spring, easily. I grew up in California, so the bloom here in Richmond is a completely different cast of characters than what I'm used to. I miss birds of paradise, but the sheer number of hydrangeas more than makes up for it. There's also one gorgeous purple flower around the neighborhood I still haven't identified.

Learning in Astro

Moving off Squarespace, I underestimated how much flexibility I'd get back. Astro lets in all the small, specific design details that make this site feel like mine. It's the kind of thing Squarespace wasn't built to allow.
